Welcome to Visiting Hong Kong
This web site has information on it that may help those who are traveling to Hong Kong and are trying to save some money. My family and I make the trip from Columbus, OH in the United States every other year or so. Since my wife is from Hong Kong, it is more of a family visit, as opposed to a vacation, but we always look forward to it. There is much to do, see, and eat in Hong Kong!
The main problem for repeat visitors like ourselves, is cost! Hong Kong is not cheap when it comes to real estate. It is a land-locked city and most of the citizens there live in very small flats, including my wife's family. There is not really room for the five of us Americans to join them in 310 square feet for a three week period, if you know what I mean.
Hotels can also be very expensive, especially for a large family. So where can visitors stay at a reasonable price? Well, they are not easy to find, although much easier than in the past, but there are some Hong Kong short term apartment rentals that are ideal for families. And by short term, I'm refering to daily or weekly rental rates, not monthly. I've already found several places and hope to find more. Some of these are under $100 US per night. Then there are some a little nicer that are under $150 US per night. You can find this information on my web site and it will be updated on a regular basis, so be sure to bookmark me if you are planning a trip to Hong Kong. I do hope that you can benefit from my information here.
